Wisconsin Technology Zone Program
Two Rivers is part of the
Northeast
Wisconsin Regional Economic Partnership, which has
identified the following high-tech business clusters in the region:

Zones are effective for 10 years.
$5
million in income tax credits has been allocated
to each zone.
Tax credits will be made available to high
technology businesses locating or expanding in a
designated Technology Zone.

To qualify, a company must
meet the following criteria:
The business must
be a new or expanding high-technology firm.
The technology
zone must recommend certification to the Department of Commerce.
The certification
is for three years, with an option to extend for another two years.
The Technology Zone
program focuses primarily on businesses engaged in research, development
or manufacture of advanced products or materials used in a variety of
identified fields. However, local Technology Zones may also
recommend certification of businesses that they identify as part of a
target cluster and as knowledge-based businesses or businesses that
utilize advanced technology production processes, systems or equipment in
more traditional manufacturing operations.
