Schroeder's Department Store has served the
Lakeshore community since Peter Schroeder founded the
business in 1891. The present building was constructed
in 1899. Shop Schroeder's a few times and they'll soon
know you by name, size and your taste in clothing! But
Schroeder's is more than men's and women's clothes -
you'll find everything from shoes to gifts, from unique
items for your home to gourmet coffees at the Red Bank
Coffeehouse. The store is under the third generation of Schroeder family ownership. You'll Enjoy the experience of shopping for all the latest fashions in the atmosphere of a "good old" department store with the sound of the old creaking floor ... all the old wood cabinets ... and the special treats found at the candy counter. The Suettinger family has operated Suettinger Hardware in downtown Two Rivers since 1862, including a few years in a crowded old barn behind Schroeder's after Suettinger's building burned down in 1937. Their famous slogan during those years was, "We've got it ... if we can find it." Today, you can buy lawn mowers or plumbing supplies, bolts and washers or garden supplies, or get keys made and your broken windows fixed right on the spot. |

Objects is one of the newer businesses in our downtown.
Unique Flying
Objects,
or
UFO
for short, was started by Chow Chong in May of 2000.
When you see a huge, colorful stunt kite gliding, or
swooping, over the area beaches - you'll know where they
came from. There are national and regional chain stores, too - from the popular fast food chains to auto parts, drug stores, convenience stores, and financial firms. On those days when you're in the mood to shop some of the larger retail outlets, it's a quick ride to Manitowoc Kohl's, Lowes, Shopko, JC Penney, etc. Green Bay and the Fox Valley are only about 30 minutes away for even more shopping variety. |
