Anytime, any neighborhood, any street, any park. Crime is low in Two Rivers. In fact - serious crime is very rare. Just take a look at the monthly Police Department report to see for yourself.

We're proud of our professional police force. It's the people of Two Rivers, however, who are responsible for our safe and friendly city. Only 30 violent crimes in 2008 (last year for which complete figures are available), 14 shopliftings, just 20 bicycle thefts, 2 purse snatchings, and 4 arrests for drug sales.

When there is a crime, chances are that it will be solved. With 30 violent crimes in 2008, our police solved 31 - a clearance rate of 103%. Vehicle thefts were down 45% to only 6, and 6 cases were solved. The Two Rivers Police Department Crime Clearance Rate consistently runs at more than double and national and Wisconsin rate. In 2009, that rate in Two Rivers was an outstanding 52.12%, the fourth year in a row the department broke the 50% mark ~ and second only to the 52.96% rate in 2007.
