The Central City is home to our downtown and sits between the East and West Twin rivers and south of 26th Street. This is the original core of Two Rivers and contains several major industries, the government center and many of the city's small businesses and key employers.

Tree-lined streets carry you past stately homes surrounded my mature trees in the smallest of the residential areas of Two Rivers. Many of the early industrialists built their ornate two and three story homes in this area.  Many of them still have the original woodwork inside to go along with the large porches outside that give these homes their special character.

There are two parks, including Central Park in the middle of the downtown shopping district and the new Washington Park along the West Twin Rivers.
The central city is subject to the Lake Effect, but not as dramatically as the East and South sides.
